Dear Mr. Kang, Director of Pyeongtaek Peace Center,
Hello, this is Chie from Okinawa.
I'm sorry for e-mailing you very late.
Thank you so much to drive us around in Pyeongtaek on 4/18/2008.
I'm so glad that I went to see Pyeongtaek on my own eys.
I should have studied about Pyeongtaek's struggle before the visit;
I'm sorry if I asked you wrong questions.
I learned so much from you at the symposium in Okinawa International University and also from this time's visit.
US base problems in Okinawa and Korea are very similar.
Ohkee and Strawberry (Han Seon Nam) told us that many young people in Korea don't know about Pyeongtaek's struggle.
In Okinawa, most of the young people don't even care about base issues.
As a young Okinawan, I feel that I must act to change Okinawa, and meeting you, Okhee, Strawberry, and everybody who came for the symposium
gave me a lot of strength and courage.
Again and again, thank you.
Sincerely,
Chie Harimoto
